Film – Quartet
At a retirement home for old musicians a special concer is being planned to celebrate Verdi’s birthday. Directed by Dustin Hoffman and starring Michael Gambon, Maggie Smith, Billy Connolly, Tom Courtney, Pauline Collins, Quartet has the all the adorable egos, jealousies, foibles frictions of a much younger ensemble.
There will be live music performed by musicians from Wells Cathedral School at 2.00 pm and the film will begin at 2.30 pm.
This is a Friends of Music at Wells Cathedral School free screening and there will be a collection at the end.
