A prize-winning piano prodigy, John Law abandoned classical studies at the age of 23 to pursue jazz and improvisation. Since then he has been acclaimed for contemporary jazz and crossover projects with musicians as diverse as Gwilym Simcock, Andy Sheppard, Jason Rebello, Tim Garland and Evan Parker. Tonight John makes his debut at Cedars Hall with just our Steinway piano for inspiration, presenting his distinctive take on standards from the worlds of jazz, pop and classical music.
